Anavar (Oxandrolone)

Description

Pharmocological action

Anavar (Oxandrolone) is a steroid anabolic. Penetrating into the cell nucleus, activates the genetic apparatus of the cell, which leads to an increase in DNA synthesis, RNA and structural proteins, activation of enzymes of the tissue respiration chain and increased tissue respiration, oxidative phosphorylation, ATP synthesis and accumulation of macroergs inside the cell.

Stimulates anabolic and suppresses catabolic processes caused by glucocorticoids. It leads to an increase in muscle mass, reduction of fat deposits, improves tissue trophism, promotes the deposition of calcium in bones. Shows low androgenic activity.

Dosage & method of use

Standard Anavar doses for therapeutic treatment will normally in the 5-10 mg per day range with 20 mg per day normally being the maximum dose. Such use will normally last 2-4 weeks;

For the male performance enhancing athlete, a 40-50 mg per day dosing will provide athletic enhancement. Standard male Anavar cycles will last 6-8 weeks;

For the female performance enhancing athlete, 5-10 mg per day is normally the perfect dose. Higher doses can involve a side effects. Standard female Anavar cycles will last 4-6 weeks.

Side effects

Androgenic: acne, accelerated hair loss in those predisposed to male pattern baldness and body hair growth, virilization symptoms (in women);

Cardiovascular: HDL cholesterol suppression and increases in LDL cholesterol.
