Anazol [Arimidex]

Description

Anazol (aka Anastrozole, Arimidex) is a very powerful non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor of third generation. It effectively blocks the aromatase enzyme, which converts testosterone into estradiol. Initially its destination was to treat breast cancer in women. However, it found its place in bodybuilding.

Anastrozole in bodybuilding

Since aromatase exists both in women and in men, bodybuilders who take aromatizable steroids eventually have high levels of estrogens in the blood. This leads to estrogen related side effects. Anazol can easily solve this problem. Even at the dose 1mg/day it can reduce the levels of estradiol by 50%.
Therefore, by taking Anastrozol simultaneously with “strong” androgens, such as Dianabol or Testosterone, you can avoid estrogenic side effects (gynecomastia, water retention, female type fat deposition). In combination with Finasteride, which reduces the levels of DHT, it can minimize the side effects of androgens. Thus, Testosterone can be as mild as Nandrolone.
Moreover, it can indirectly increase the anabolic effect of aromatizable steroids. Since less amount of testosterone transforms into estrogen, the levels of testosterone remains high, and the quality of muscle mass improves. The muscles become hard and less watery (owing to the absence of water retention).

How to use Anastrozole

For treatment of breast cancer, the usual dosage of Anazol is 1 mg/day until it subsides. The usual dose for steroid users is 0.5 -1 mg every other day, (sometimes even less). Competitive bodybuilders usually take 1 mg /day during 10 days before the contest.
However, avoid overdose, as you can decrease the levels of estradiol too much. Remember that it plays important role in men’s health!

Arimidex can negatively affect the levels of cholesterol, thus steroid users should be careful while taking it.
